How
These Technologies Work ...
"Winners must have two things: definite
goals and a burning desire to achieve them."
HOW DOES STATIC CONTRACTION TRAINING (SCT) WORK?
Research has shown that the intensity of the lifting is far more
critical to muscle growth stimulus than the duration. Therefore,
exerting your maximum effort once will generate better results and
more benefits than a lesser effort for more
repetitions.
The Static Contraction Training (SCT) equipment is designed to
measure and display the exact effort you are exerting against the
resistance in each exercise. This enables us to accurately track
your progress.
Each workout takes approximately half an hour, including stretching
and warming up!
Initially the workouts are three days apart, but the time between
workouts increases as the numbers indicate that your body needs
longer to recover, and build muscle. The time between workouts will
depend on the rate of muscle growth.

HOW DOES SIMULATED ALTITUDE TRAINING (SAT) WORK?
Simulated Altitude Training (SAT) is the practice of breathing
in an air mixture through a mask in which the levels of oxygen are
slowly reduced (15% - 10%), simulating the oxygen levels founds
at higher altitudes.
During an SAT treatment session, breathing is alternated every
5 minutes between the air mixture in the mask and regular room air
(20.9% at sea level), resulting in fluctuations in oxygen levels
in the blood.
While the effects of living at altitude have been well documented,
it has been found that more benefit is to be gained from SAT where
the body is forced to adapt to these intermittent fluctuations of
oxygen levels.
This has the same effects and benefits that are usually associated
with training at altitude.
In order to maximise these
benefits, the body
needs between 15 – 30 sessions to adapt, ensuring more efficient
use of oxygen at sea-level.
The effects last for approximately 4 – 6 weeks, at which
time another week (5 sessions) of SAT is recommended in order to
renew the body's efficient use of oxygen.
The initial programme is one hour a day, five days a week, for
three weeks.
